This week, we’re celebrating the heart and soul of our schools—our incredible teachers!
📢 Here's what YOU can do
1. Encourage your kids to write a note, draw a picture, or simply say “thank you” to their teacher this week.
2. Let’s flood this feed with gratitude, appreciation, and love for the educators who make a difference every day. Tag your school and your favorite teacher in the comments and share a memory or a "thank you" message! 🍎🫶
Our students enjoyed fishing, a hay ride, a boat ride, arts and crafts, playing on the inclusive playground, and eating lunch outside. We learned about wetlands and got to watch turtles and geese swim. We also had some surprise cows greet us on our hayride!
We can't wait to visit again next year. :)
Today in honor of Staff Appreciation Week we want to shine our spotlight on Ms. Emily who teaches one of our kindergarten to 1st grade classrooms.
Ms. Emily along with her T.A., Ms. Maria have been busy this year. Throughout the year, Miss Emily's class has focused on building communication skills and independence. Through play and structured learning time, students have developed skills in turn taking, requesting, and being ready to learn. To celebrate the year and take the skills out into the community, they attended Access the Zoo day at Peoria Zoo.

What an incredible celebration of diversity! The 3rd Annual Multicultural Fair brought together teachers from 17 different countries to share their vibrant cultures with students, families, and the Peoria community. Peoria Public Schools proudly participates in the J-1 Visa program, welcoming global talent to enrich our classrooms and foster cultural exchange. Take a look back at this unforgettable event!

Each day we want to highlight our amazing teachers and their classroom staff.
Today we are going to spotlight our junior high and high school classrooms. Led by Mr. Cai and Mr. Brad these students go on many field trips in our community such as EP!C, Wal-Mart, Blue Ridge Farm, and Peoria Public Library.
Today we spotlight these teachers as well as their teacher aides and behavior attendants who are all vital the success of our students.
