Your Peoria High Lions will look to win their second straight Regional Championship, a feat that has not been accomplished since going back-to-back in 2012 and 2013, tonight in a rematch of state-ranked teams.

The Silver Streaks cut the Lions lead to three points in the third quarter, but your Peoria High Lions found a way to blaze through the final 10 minutes to take a 68-44 win in the semi-final round of the IHSA Class 3A Regional.
Kayden Turner led all scorers with 20 points, including five 3-point shots. Meanwhile, Nigel Moore came off of the bench with 18 points.
This sets up a Regional Championship showdown against East Peoria on Friday at Galesburg.

The Peoria High School Band has received $20,000.00 from the Illinois Arts Council to fund their Creative Learning Grant! This grant will be used to provide private and small group instruction as well as update instruments and purchase new equipment.
The drumline also capped off the day with a day at Valeska Hinton! The PHS Drumline performed for the students and spent time letting the students explore and try out the drums! They also led the parade celebrating Black History Month! Lots of amazing future music as in the works!
