Picture day is this Thursday. Students can come out of uniform if they have bought pictures or have money for pictures.
8th grade AVID elective students participated in their first tutorial. Tutorials are a cornerstone of the avid elective. They fill out of TRF to identify their point of confusion. Students work collaboratively in tutorials by asking questions and working through the problem together in small groups. #ThisisAVID

6th grade AVID elective students in sixth grade practiced their note taking skills by taking notes over how to make ice cream in a bag. 7th grade AVID elective students tested their note taking skills by making the ice cream exactly the way their notes said! 4th graders end their day everyday looking at their BAG. Behavior, Attendace, and Grades
Did you know, that when your child reads for 30 mins a day, it helps with stamina and vocabulary.
“Saving Lives lab.”The students were given emergency medical scenarios. They rotated through stations and had to take steps to treat their patients for the emergency scenario. Way to 8th grade!

Girls will have basketball tryouts this Thursday and Friday after school until 4.
Our 8th grade AVID elective students spoke about the AVID elective and showed parents their binders and planners. All middle school students should be bringing their binder to school and home each day.
8th-graders tested foods for glucose levels. Learning about diabetes and how foods we eat affect our body systems.
8th graders have an opportunity to audition for PSA. Auditions are Oct. 30
