November 15, 2025, at the Pere Marquette Hotel, Peoria.

Registrations are rolling in from local teams and through online registration.

This is a US Chess-rated tournament sponsored by The Illinois Chess Association, & hosted by the Greater Peoria Chess Foundation! The Foundation is also sponsoring all PPS Students' US Chess memberships. If your student does not have a membership, enter 99999999 when registering, and we will take care of enrolling the student for a membership.

Doors open at 8 am at the Pere Marquette Ballroom. Check-in closes at 8:45 am. First round starts for all sections at 9 am.

Registration is open for the 2nd Annual Reservoir Gifted Academy Fall Chess Classic Register online and pay at the door! https://www.kingregistration.com/event/RGA25 This is a K-12 chess meet open to ALL Illinois students!! 5 rounds Swiss system, G30/5d. 7 sections: K-3, 4-5, 6, 7, 8, HS, Grand Prix. Doors Open at 8am First Round starts at 9:30am. $5 if registered online by 10/31/2024 (max. $100 per school), $10 if registering at the Door . A $10 fee is charged to play up into older grade-level sections. The Grand Prix is only open to those with a rating of 1000 or higher. ALL Payments will be collected at the door. School checks may be made payable to Reservoir Gifted Academy. USCF membership required --- Memberships (1 year) will be available from the Greater Peoria Chess Foundation for $9 at the tournament, a maximum of $99 per school. GPCF will cover the cost of anyone over the 11 players. GPCF will cover the cost of any Peoria Public Schools students. Make membership checks payable to GPCF. OCTOBER OPEN CHESS NIGHT October 24th - 4-6pm Mark W. Bills Middle School Join K-12 students from around the Tri-County area for friendly over the board play, chess puzzles, and of course PIZZA.
