Good evening Rolling Acres Families,
These are the announcements for the week of May 5th.
*Please mark your calendar for Wednesday, May 14th. We will be having a "moms" event. A flyer will be passed out this week. The event will begin at 5:30 pm.
*Our current mindset is Live to Give. Please ask your child what they are learning about the current mindset.
*We are continuing to address chronic absences. Just for reference, any student who has missed 15 or more days of school regardless if it is excused or unexcused is currently considered chronically absent. Please help us lower our chronic absence rate by sending your child to school every day. I have also attached a copy of the RA attendance practice to this week’s message. ATTENDANCE PRACTICE
*Graduation will take place on Tuesday, May 27th at 6:00. It will take place in the auditorium at Richwoods. No tickets are needed.
*Summer school will be June 2 - 18th. The district is partnering with community partners to provide a hands-on, project-based learning experience K-8. There will also be special programs such as PreK, EL and special education. High school will focus on credit recovery. Transportation and meals will be provided. Teacher appreciation is this week. Please consider sending a note or email to your child's teachers encouraging them and telling them how much you appreciate them. They are dedicated professionals who give their best to give RA students a great education.

*NWEA window continues this week. Students will test in reading and math. Please encourage your child to do their best.
Tuesday
*6th grade field trip to HULT 9:00 - 11:30*Track meet at Peoria Stadium 4:00
*RHS dance tryouts at RA 4:30 – 6:00
Wednesday
*SIP day – Students dismiss at 10:30. $1.00 buyout

Thursday

Friday
*Six Flags money due for 8th graders
