Family and friends of Rolling Acres, my name is Michael Barber, and I am the principal of Rolling Acres Middle School. I have been part of Peoria Public Schools for 31 years. I began teaching in the district at Glen Oak Primary School where I spent the first 10 years of my career teaching third and fourth grade.  I then spent one year as a 4th grade teacher at Whittier Primary School. I spent three years as the assistant principal at Roosevelt Magnet School and four years as the principal at Irving Primary School.

This is my thirteenth year at Rolling Acres Middle School, and I look forward to working with the Rolling Acres staff, students, and families once again.  I am here to assist you in anyway I can. Please feel free to either call or stop in if you have a concern or an idea. My door is always open, and I want you to feel welcome at Rolling Acres.

Welcome back to another fantastic year at Rolling Acres Middle School. I am excited about the year ahead and hope you are as well. Rolling Acres has a long-standing tradition of maintaining academic excellence. Our number one focus is student achievement. The faculty and staff have been working hard throughout the summer developing teaching strategies and skills in an effort to continue to meet the needs of all our students. Everyone is energized and excited about the upcoming school year. Our expectations and goals for all students are high, and together as a team we will work to help all students achieve their goals. We are dedicated to providing every student with a safe, nurturing, and positive learning environment.
