🚔 Guess who dropped by our kindergarten classes this week? Some real-life superheroes from the Peoria Police Department! 👮♂️
Our students got an up-close look at what it means to protect and serve our community. Officer Birris and Officer Fuller shared about their jobs and showed us the cool tools they use to keep our neighborhoods safe! 🌟
Our very own Officer Parker also shared how his role at school is similar and different than the PPD! 🏫
It was an amazing week of learning as our students dove into understanding the wonderful world of community helpers.✨
These are the moments that make learning come alive! Who knows? We might have some future officers in our classroom🚓

Solo is officially a proud member of AMISTAD! 🌟
Looks like our four-legged friend knows exactly where he belongs - in the House of friendship and kindness! Watch out for those extra tail wags in the hallway! 🐕✨

Each team engaged in unique and exciting activities:
*Reveur showcased their creativity with mural decorating.
*Isibindi had a fun-filled time with Minute to Win It games.
*Amistad embarked on an adventurous Scavenger Hunt.
*Altruismo expressed their artistic flair by creating Yarn Art, forming their Team name out of twigs.
The energy was contagious, and the students had a blast!

Northmoor Primary third grade students had some very special virtual guests last Friday! They welcomed Sergeant O'Reilly and his lovable retired K-9 Radar.
The duo joined Northmoor all the way from Oregon to talk about the training K-9s go through before joining the police force. The students learned about Sergeant O'Reilly and Radar throughout the week to go along with a story they read in class.
The third graders were surprised with a virtual meeting. Students were also able to ask some questions. Sergeant O'Reilly and Radar have become Instagram famous over the last couple of years across the globe for the snacks they share while they are on or off duty.
