Signing Procedures for RHS

National Letter of Intent (NLI) Signing Information

Student athletes who are afforded the honor of signing a National Letters of Intent (NLI) for scholarship to play sports at the collegiate level are highly encouraged to do so in a Signing Ceremony here at Richwoods High School.

If you're interested in having a Signing Ceremony for your student-athlete, please fill out the form below and our Athletic Director will reach out to you using the information you have provided. From there, you will collaborate to plan and organize the ceremony.

For all official signings the school will contact the local media and invite them to participate,  provide the room, the tables and chairs and balloons.  It is suggested that the parents/guardians and friends and or family of the signee provide anything else that they feel is appropriate for the occasion.  Typically, refreshments have been served for the participants and guests of the signee. These refreshments have been, as an example, cookies, cupcakes, or a cake, and punch or soft drinks, including paper plates and napkins.

Athletic Commitments

If your student athlete is committing to play sports at an institution that does not offer athletic scholarships (i.e. NCAA or NJCAA Division 3), we would still be proud to hold a Commitment Ceremony for your student athlete, which will be similar to the Signing Ceremony described above. Please fill out the form below to schedule a Commitment Ceremony with our Athletic Director.

When possible the school would like to work with students and families and group signings together with multiple athletes if possible. For example, if more than one football player would be signing, we would encourage all members of the football team who are eligible to sign, to sign together on one signing day.
