Welcome to my homepage. I am the 6th grade math teacher here at Rolling Acres. I am entering my 19th year at Rolling Acres and, in the past, have taught 6th, 7th and 8th grade math. For the past 10-11 years I have taught exclusively 6th grade math.

This year we will be using a new math curriculum called enVision Mathematics. One thing to look forward to is that students will have a soft cover text book which will have examples to look at, locations to take notes, and a glossary. In addition to the book, the curriculum comes with online components that support the lessons. Having a textbook will benefit the student and the adults at home. As I learn more about the curriculum I will pass that information along.
Our math classes will be broken up into two 45 minute sections this year. The first 45 minutes will be devoted to whole-class work. During this time, we will all be working on the same content which will follow the text book. The second 45 minute segment will be more individualized in nature. This time may include such things as IXL, small group work with the teacher, small group work without the teacher, and Dreambox (for some students).
