It was a beautiful day at The Gerald M. Brookhart Arts in Education Spring Celebration yesterday. Our Maude Sanders Children's Choir performed their entire concert at the Riverfront Museum to a crowd of proud families! We are so blessed to have such a wonderful event for our students to experience and enjoy! You have the chance to see them perform one last time tomorrow, May 14, 6:00pm, at Imago Dei Church. Thanks for a great year!

Our choir program has grown from 14 students in its first year to 33 students this year!
This year we learned the right way to use a choir folder. Look how focused they are!
After the performance everyone got to check out the food trucks.
Sometimes you just need to pose with the buffalo.
We are so glad that so many parents came out to support us!
Your support means everything to our students.
It was a beautiful day to hear our students sing.
Thank you for all you do!

Maude Sanders Children's Choir traveled to Bradley University on Friday to have a workshop with Dr. Boulton and The Bradley Chorale. It was a wonderful afternoon of making music across generations. MSCC performed two of their pieces from their upcoming concert including "Fanga Alafia" arranged by Andy Beck, and "Hola Media Luna" by Laura and Eddie Cavazos and Trevor Phillips. Chorale then shared a performance of "See That Babe" arranged by Stacey Gibbs, before joining our kids on the risers to sing "This Little Light of Mine" by Rollo Dilworth. We then got to enjoy a question and answer session where our kids got the opportunity to get answers about music, college, and life from Chorale members, Mr. Lohrer, and Dr. Boulton. Thank you so much to Dr. Boulton, The Bradley Chorale, and Michelle Brower who accompanied our choir not only for the day but came to our rehearsal on Wednesday to give our kids the chance to sing with her before the trip. Thanks also to Mrs. Davis and the parent volunteers who helped chaperone. MSCC will be giving their first annual Spring Concert on Thursday, May 14, 6:00pm, at Imago Dei Church! Mark your calendars!

Our two choirs joined forces for “This Little Light of Mine” arranged by Rollo Dilworth, under the direction of Mr. Lohrer.
We are so thankful for the experience.
It was a great day of making music with The Maude Sanders Children’s Choir and The Bradley Chorale.
Lots of hands up during the Q&A.
Our kids loved being able to ask questions to the college students in Chorale.
Some of our students really brought the laughs to our Bradley friends!
Dr. Boulton, Mr. Lohrer, and Chorale’s fantastic accompanist Michelle Brower look on while Bradley students answer questions. They also stepped in to answer some themselves.
Dr. Boulton shared her heart and her love for music with our students.

Thank you so much to all the parents who have supported our after-school choir program through donations, fundraisers, and time. Through your support we were able to purchase these amazing t-shirts for our students to wear on their field trips, and show their DMAS pride! This is a big semester for our choir kids. In April we will be traveling to Bradley University to sing with Dr. Boulton and the Bradley Chorale. On May 12th we will be performing at the Riverfront Museum for Arts in the Park, and on May 14th Imago Dei Church will be hosting our first annual Spring Choir Concert. Mark those dates on your calendar and come out to support our choir program if you can! As they say on Sesame Street, "One small voice can teach the world to sing."
