Hello Raiders!
💯 We have back-to-back shortened weeks due to the Easter holiday, but we still need our students here everyday! To increase attendance, we've started a new challenge:
Students have been given a bracelet. Each week that they are in school every day, they can earn a jibbitz charm for their bracelet (think: Crocs charms). Every 3 weeks, students who have earned 3 charms (100% attendance) will also earn a special grade-level reward.
*Note: Replacement bracelets or jibbitz will not be issued; however, teachers will be keeping track of how many each student has received.
🏫 On Monday, 8th grade will be going to Woodruff Career & Technical Center.
🎵 On Tuesday, select students will be performing downtown for the Gerald M. Brookhart Arts in Education Spring Celebration. Permission slips were sent home last week.
📣 On Wednesday, the Manual Cheer coaches will be here 2:45-4:30 p.m. for any 8th graders interested in trying out for the team. Students need a ride home afterwards.
🥧 On Thursday, we have our annual PIE A TEACHER assembly. Since we've returned from Spring Break, students have been earning tickets for good behavior. They use those tickets to vote for the staff member they would most like to pie in the face. The "winning" staff member on each team will be pied in the face by a student who voted for them.
📅 Please see the attached graphic for a full breakdown of this week's events, sports, and activities.
