Valeska Hinton Early Childhood Expansion Campus students have been learning about famous Black Americans in a way that’s meaningful, appropriate, and reflective of the Black experience.
With the focus on Black Americans’ huge role in our nation's history, teachers have been reading books, reciting speeches, and engaging in activities that spotlight the contribution of some remarkable Black American figures such as Dr. Mae Jamieson, Augustus Jackson, Garret Morgan, and Rosa Parks! They also did a parade throughout the school with signs promoting kindness and inclusivity!
