Preparations for the 2019-2020 school year

The first day of school – Wednesday, August 14 -- for Peoria Public Schools is less than a month away, and preparations are switching into high gear.

Online registration is open for students who will attend the same school and who live at the same address.  Parents and students can visit for details. Instructions for registration and school-specific information including a letter from your principal, school supply lists, uniform information and the student handbook are available for download. 


The Skyward registration process is simple and straightforward. Parents can register from their home computer, a library computer or their smart phone.



Students attending a new school or whose families have moved, must register at a Registration Hub. Those locations, dates and times are:

  • Kellar Primary School, 6413 N. Mt Hawley Rd.
  • Harrison Community Learning Center, 2727 W. Krause
  • Glen Oak Community Learning Center, 2100 N. Wisconsin. Ave.
  • Peoria High School, 1615 N. North St.


  • Thursday, July 25, 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.
  • Wednesday, August 7, 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.
  • Saturday, August 10, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.


Registration also will be available at Backpack Peoria at The Dream Center, 714 N. Hamilton Blvd.

Saturday, July 27, 9 a.m. – noon


Students’ physical, dental and vision exams and vaccinations must be in complete compliance on the first day of school.  In-school clinics will be available at Harrison Community Learning Center and Peoria High School on Registration Hub days. Physical exams, but not vaccinations, will be available at Backpack Peoria.  Both Heartland Health Services clinics on Garden St. and on Wisconsin Ave. are open for walk-in physicals and vaccinations beginning Monday, July 22.  UnityPoint Clinics at Trewyn and Manual open on Wednesday, August 7.
