Preparatory School for the Arts auditions to continue this week

The Peoria Public Schools Preparatory School for the Arts (PSA) at Peoria High School will hold entrance auditions at each District middle school Thursday, January 14 through Thursday, January 21. PSA faculty in orchestra, band, choir and drama, visual arts and dance will conduct the auditions. All District 8th grade students will participate in the auditions. Acceptance letters will be sent in February at which time families can determine whether PSA is the best choice for their student.

Ninth- through 11th grade Richwoods High School and Manual Academy students and current non-District 8th – 11th grade students (that live in or will live in the District's attendance boundaries) also are eligible to audition for the PSA. To arrange an audition, contact the following faculty members:

Orchestra-Jason Warner jason.warner@psd150.org
Band-Maura Shepherd maura.shepherd@psd150.org
Choir & Drama, Simon Webb simon.webb@psd150.org
Visual arts, Scott Woodhull scott.woodhull@psd150.org
Dance, Debra Reddington debra.reddington@psd150.org

A similar process is being planned for all rising 5th grade students in District 150 for auditions to Roosevelt Magnet School for the arts. That process is expected to begin in February.
