Black History Month Celebration

Lincoln K-8 celebrated Black History Month in February by holding an afternoon celebration in the gym.  Mr. Bill Cannon (pictured left) gave a stirring rendition of Dr. King's "I have a Dream" speech.  Students gave readings, sang, and danced, including a visit from the Explosive Gems dancers.  During the month, a Black History Trivia question was read every morning. Students could put their answers in a box in the cafeteria.  During lunchtime, a principal would give a piece of candy to all the persons who answered correctly. Thank you to all the volunteers who made our month special.
