Peoria Grow Your Own seeks aspiring educators

The Peoria Grow Your Own (GYO) initiative, coordinated by Trewyn School K-3 Social Emotional Learning (SEL) teacher Linda Wilson, has helped dozens of local individuals continue their education, earn their teaching license and become outstanding public school teachers. The GYO program provides mentoring, academic and financial support and a cohort of fellow-aspiring educators of color. GYO graduates agree to teach for at least five years for Peoria Public Schools.
