DAPCEP - a free Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) program for Peoria Public School 5th - 8th grade students will run Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., September 7 through October 5 on the Bradley University campus.
This is the third year the Detroit Area Pre-College Engineering Program (DAPCEP) has brought its STEM program to Bradley University, the only DAPCEP program offered outside Michigan.
Peoria Public School students will rotate through the following courses:
Electrifying the World- an introduction to electrical engineering
Breaking the Code - students will learn about computer science and coding
Green is a Way of Life - How engineering and science contribute to a healthy environment. Students will discover fundamentals of energy, energy balance, Peoria ecology, environmental and civil engineering.
Mathematics and Music - students will explore the connections between mathematics and engineering and music with activities to develop team-learning and problem-solving skills.
