A Message from Superintendent Dr. Sharon Desmoulin-Kherat

On behalf of Peoria Public Schools Board of Education, staff, students and families, I send our sincere condolences to the family of former PPS superintendent Harry F. Whitaker. Mr. Whitaker passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2017. He was 90 years old.

A graduate of Woodruff High School and Bradley University, Mr. Whitaker served Peoria Public Schools, its students and families for 34 years, as a teacher, coach, principal, associate superintendent and superintendent. His dedication to our district and community were extraordinary.
