We have many new books coming your way!!! This year, Ms. Daugherty has received three grants!
One grant from Delta Kappa Gamma has provided the library with 8 graphic novels which cover non-fiction topics. Some of the titles are: Verax: the History of Whistleblowers, Drone Warfare, and Mass Surveillance, The Influencing Machine: Brooke Gladstone on the Media, and Ichi-F: a Worker’s Graphic Memoir of the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant.
The PTO grant is providing the library with new titles which are very popular in bookstores. This grant allows the library to keep up to date with some of the titles that students want to read for pleasure. Some of these titles include: Long Way Down, The Hate U Give, Far From the Tree, and Bang. All of these books will be avaible very soon once they come back from processing.

A big thank you goes out to Peoria Public Schools Foundation Classroom Grant for providing our library with Educational Graphic Novels to add to our library. These books help add variety to content which is covered as part of our core curriculum. They are also a great addition to the library for those student who are fans of graphic novels and those who just want to read!

Poet Laureate Visits the LibraryDr. Kevin Stein, Poet Laureate visited the Richwoods High School Library duringApril's celebration of National Poetry Month.During his visit students were able to listen to several readings of his poetry andask questions about the work that goes into writing poems for a profession.Dr. Stein also explained the title of Poet Laureate and the history behind the title.Richwoods staff and students extend a big thank you to Dr. Stein for his visit!!!

The Physical Collection
The library's physical collection houses over 15,000 books, magazines, and other research tools you may need during your quest for information. We also have a great fiction collection if you are just looking for something to read in your spare time or for a class requirement.
The physical collection can be searched by using the Online Card Catalog which can be accessed through the Destiny icon. You will notice that Destiny also contains reading lists, the most popular books checked out, and New Arrivals. When using Destiny Quest, you will have access to additional online sources when you type in your query and then select One Search.
