Students who walk home, please use the pedestrian walkways marked on the map attached below. Also, all drivers and drop-offs need to use extra caution entering and exiting the RHS parking lot. Parents drop and pick up all students at the end of the long front sidewalk or at the corner of the main entry. Please do not drop and pick up students at the front door.
RHS sophomore Anna Glavin, will perform off-Broadway this summer with the Theatre for Student Artists (NTSA). Glavin will appear in the New York City premiere of Paul Shapera’s steampunk opera The Dolls of New Albion. She was one of only 40 students nationwide selected for the program out of over 650 applicants.
State Representative Jehan Gordon-Booth surprised senior Monique Watkins on Friday by naming her one of the Annie's Girls for 2018. The scholarship program, named in honor of Gordon-Booth's mother, Annie Jo Gordon, awards senior female students from each high school in the 92nd district a prom package underwriting the costs of dress, hair, makeup and nails, plus the opportunity to be mentored by a local professional woman. Annie's Girls mentors commit to building a one-on-one relationship with the high school girls, including a day of job shadowing.
The Richwoods Lady Knights are the 2018 IHSA State Champions!!! They finish off their amazing season 35-1 behind the entire RHS staff, student body and community! Thank you to all who filled the stands and put your heart into cheering on the Lady Knights to victory. The performance, class and never-quit attitude was displayed on the court by the Lady Knights and in the stands by the amazing crowd. We represented the “Standard of Excellence” that we are. Congrats to Coach Todd Hursey and his coaching staff for this amazing accomplishment. We are proud of you!!!

RHS is celebrating Brostache/Winterfest 2018 this week. This is a great opportunity for all students, teachers, staff and families to get involved, have fun and recharge. This year we are combining Winterfest with Brostache 2018 to raise money for the American Cancer Society. The goal is $6000. The American Cancer Society goes beyond treatment and uses funding to also provide lodging, meals, transportation, and additional supports to cancer victims and their families. Donations can be sent to the main office or students can donate during their second period class.
