Professional

I have taught for 29 years 25 of which have been in District 150.  I spent 4 years as a Title One Teacher at Stark County and then went to Franklin for 4 years as a Kindergarten and Reading Recovery Teacher.  I then came to Whittier and have taught 2nd, 1st, Kindergarten, served as Reading Coach, School Wihtin a School Teacher and am currently teaching 1st grade.  I attended Illinois State University for both undergraduate and graduate school.  I have an Elementary Education Degree and a Master's in Reading.  I have also taken additional coursework in reading instruction from Western Illinois University.

Personal

I currently live in Galva, Il, which is about 50 minutes Northwest of Peoria, with my husband and 8 children.  I have 2 stepsons who are 27 and 24, a 23 year old daughter who is also a teacher, and 5 other children who are 14, 13, 11, 8, and 6.
