I am ALL about the communication and always want to be sure that I am on the same page as families. I send updates about once a week via e-mail using Skyward, so please be on the look out for those. Sometimes they go to junk mail at the beginning of the year, so please double check that you are receiving them and that your e-mail address is correct in Skyward.

Remind
5th and 6th grade teams use the app Remind to send updates to families (and students, if they have it). You can sign up online, on the app, or by text message. Each 5th and 6th grade homeroom has their unique code to join on Remind that will give them access to their core teachers.
My class remind messages usually include homework reminders, updates when my gradebook on Skyward is completely up to date, and missing assignments. Families can decide if they want to receive these via e-mail, text message, or app notification.

Once you are signed up, you will be able to message with any of your child's core classroom teachers. When teachers send announcements, you can reply directly to the message to send that teacher a message. Your response only goes to the teacher who sent the message. No other teachers, parents, or students will be able to see that message.
