Career Exploration: Xello and Make Yourself

What is Xello?

XELLO is a self-exploration and planning program that helps people of all ages achieve their potential in school, career and life.  At Peoria Public Schools, all 6th - 12th grade students have access to XELLO login information to utilize at both home and school.  With this tool's help, each student is working toward an Individual Learning Plan (ILP) that will help your student identify and make their way toward specific goals and careers.  Parents can also log in to XELLO to check their student's progress.  Below is information that will guide you through the login process.

xello Quick Guide

Welcome to the world of career exploration with xello!

Go to xello.world and click on ‘sign in’ at the top right. If you have a computer from the district, this icon should be near the end on the D150 Apps screen.

Student Login

Username: psd150-lunch ID# example: psd150-123456

Password: 8 digit birthday example: 02042007

**When prompted to change their password, encourage students to keep it as their 8 digit birthday! This will save us from having to reset on our end if they forget.

What’s next?

First, complete the assessments under ABOUT ME—Matchmaker, Learning Style, Personality Style, Mission Complete!

**If your student has already done these activities, they can update their matchmaker! This is a great time to review responses to the questions.

Next, students need to work on the 3 lessons. Students can find these on their dashboard when they log in.

Students can also explore colleges, careers, and create a resume through Xello.

DON’T FORGET to save careers, schools, majors, and anything else you want to explore! They will help you when you start setting and fine-tuning your GOALS & PLANS!

Make Yourself

Make Yourself is a useful link to our community! It is offered through XELLO. This tool offers students an opportunity to connect with local businesses and people within our community. Students can possibly intern, job shadow, or ask specific questions to learn about opportunities available to them. Please see the link below in order to visit their website.
