PE Teacher

Hello, my name is Mr. Duncan, and I am the P.E. teacher at Hines Elementary School. I previously taught 5th grade math for the last 23 years in District 150. I have experience coaching baseball, basketball, soccer and hockey. I have four children of my own and my wife is also a kindergarten teacher. I enjoy working out and doing activities with my family in my free time. My favorite sports teams are the Miami Dolphins and the Fighting Illini basketball team.

During P.E. your children are going to be learning how to work together in groups and to have fun. I focus on developing their love of playing games and activities and not on winning or losing. Students are also going to be asked to communicate with me and their classmates in order to create a functional learning environment for the class. When it comes to discipline, your child will always be given the opportunity to correct their behavior on their own and to rejoin the class. If you have any questions, feel free to email or call me.
