Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Ashley Johnson

Born and raised in Central Illinois. She grew up in Magnolia and graduated from Putnam County High School in 2017. She is the oldest out of three and has two younger sisters.

While at Putnam County, Ms. Johnson was an active member of FFA and 4-H, High School Band, and Softball. Her passion for FFA and 4-H led her into a career to be an agriculture educator. Which in simple terms allows her to teach anything related in the Agricultural Field example being Horticulture and Landscape Design.

After graduating High School, she went to Illinois Valley Community College and got an Associates Degree in Applied Science. After that she transferred to the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana to get her Bachelor of Science Degree in Agricultural Leadership, Education, and Communications. This past Spring she taught at Athens High School in teaching Welding, Ag Construction, 8th Grade Mechanics, Horticulture, Conservation, and Intro to Ag.

She is excited to share her knowledge about Horticulture and Landscape Design and help students explore the field of Agriculture in her first year of teaching.
