Mrs. Lisa Polnitz

Mrs. Polnitz is an IT professional and has worked in the IT field for more than 25 years.  She has a Master’s degree in Educational Technology and a Bachelor’s in Technical Management.  Mrs. Polnitz owns and manages NetButterfly, a web design/development, and educational technology business, where she designs/develops websites, graphic design, and instructional design for businesses and individuals. Mrs. Polnitz is also an online educator on various platforms.  She has two published books and loves to write self-help books and poetry.  Mrs. Polnitz has published 2 books. 

This is Mrs. Polnitz's fourth year as an Information Technology Teacher and Early College Instructor.  She teaches students to program with HTML and CSS to design/develop websites with courses in Beginning and Intermediate Web Design.  JAVA programming and Computer Security are in the second year of the IT curriculum.  The IT Coding pathway is a 2-year program.  IT students can also get certified in HTML/CSS and Network Security. This program puts students on a path to a good IT internship and will allow for many good opportunities in the IT field. 

Mrs. Polnitz also teaches the Office Occupations program.  Business Management, Entrepreneurship, and software certifications are included.  This pathway also includes internship opportunities.

Mrs. Polnitz loves to help people, and she believes that you should never stop learning, so you teach. She also believes that learning has its own value, teaching others to know theirs is what really matters. She feels that she has landed right into her purpose. Mrs. Polnitz states that she is very blessed to teach at the Woodruff Career & Technical Center with the Woodruff Team. It is an awesome opportunity!
