Climate Change Club is a student association at Richwoods High School that works in the field of climate change, mainly to educate students in the Peoria area about the problems of climate change. The club is focused on spreading awareness of the causes, effects, and possible solutions to the problems created by climate change. We want Richwoods High School to use 100% renewable energy for electricity, heating/cooling and to be a prototypical school that others can follow.
Our key focus is educating students and adults about the importance of climate change. However, we want to implement plans such as: adding more solar panels, adding more recycling bins to each class, creating vegan friendly options in the cafeteria, and designing a vegetable garden.
