    Hello everyone!!!

I hope you are all well!  I miss you like crazy.  With the ongoing developments of the COVID-19 pandemic, my students will have the opportunity to make up, redo, or turn in alternate assignments to IMPROVE THEIR GRADE.  I will assign things accordingly via this webpage, the Remind app, and Skyward.  These assignments will not negatively affect students' grades but may take the place of a previous grade in the grade book.

If you do not have access to the internet or know a student who does not have access, please reach out to the school district so that we may assist.  We are going forward day by day with Remote Learning just as you all are.  I will try to keep my gradebook as up to date as possible.  Please reach out to me via email or the Remind App (code: gashaw) so that I can help in any way.  Most importantly, try not to stress out!  We are going to survive this together.

  • COVID-19 CANCELLATION

Posted by KATE GASHAW on 3/15/2020 7:00:00 AM

    Hello All!

I know we are all overwhelmed by the cancellations and state-wide closures.  For my students, it is important that I reassure you with a sense of normalcy.  We are going to keep going as we have been.  See the listed 'How to Links' to remember the formats required for your essay.

I know I told you that I would require it to be typed, however, this is no longer true.  If you turn in a completed essay, written out by hand, I will accept it.  I do ask that if you do not type it, please try to keep you handwriting very neat.

You no longer need a counterargument.  Just an Intro, 1st Body, 2nd Body, and Conclusion. Feedback will be given once it is turned in either via email or in person when class resumes.

Below you will see the Template for you Essay.  If you need to come pick up your notes for your essay or get things saved from the school computer, please make time to come to the school please contact Peoria High School at 309-672-6630 or peoriahigh@psd150.org for questions, obstacles, or if you need learning materials.

Please email me with any questions from your school email.  This is your lunchnumber@students.psd150.org

Posted by KATE GASHAW on 2/6/2020

    Good Morning Everyone!

I hope you are all tucked up at home safely or out playing in this fabulous snow.  Today's assignment will be quiet simple.

Write a brief three paragraph essay about anywhere in the world you would like to travel.  Explain why you want to go there and describe what you think will be the most interesting part about your trip.  REMEMBER!  A paragraph should have at least five sentences.  Put a line break or space between each paragraph.

You may turn this in to Mrs. Gashaw tomorrow or email it to me at Kate.Gashaw@PSD150.ORG

Have a wonderful day and don't forget to wish our Cheerleaders the best of luck on their way to STATE!!!!

    Hello Everyone!

As we move into the winter season, we must prepare for the possibility of snow days.  As such, there will be a listing of LAA assignments available to each of you online.  There will also be opportunities for each student to complete these assignments physically once school has resumed.  Please note, each of these assignments has been designed to be completed without the necessity of the teacher present and can therefore be completed individually without direct instruction.  They will only be entered into the grade book if they are necessary due to inclimate weather.  Finally, these assignments will only become available to students in the event that school has been cancelled.

Please see me or reach out via email if you have any questions!

    Sincerely,

    Mrs. Gashaw
