Academic, Cultural, Technological, and Scientific Olympics (ACT-SO)
It is time once again for the local branch of the NAACP and the Arts and Letters Committee of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. to host another year of
Academic, Cultural, Technological, and Scientific Olympics (ACT-SO) enrichment program.
We are launching our third season on Saturday morning, 10:30-12:00 at Carver Center with an orientation meeting, explaining all of the benefits of this program. Regular sessions of bi-monthly programming will begin on January 11.
Each year, we have students who earned gold medals at the local level, advancing to the national level with all expense paid trips to the National ACT-SO competition. This past summer, one of our student scholars won a silver medal at the National level! We are again looking forward to working with Peoria's finest students to advance their enhanced educational opportunities.
If you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact us for more information.
