Mr. Kevin Roecker

My name is Kevin Roecker. I have over 40 years of experience in various aspects of the foodservice industry including restaurants, hospitals, long term care, winery operations, event centers, catering, remote lodging, sporting events, and foodservice sales. Along with teaching the approved curriculum, I try to impart real-life experiences and situations to our inspiring culinarians at Woodruff Career and Technical Center

When I am not instructing culinary arts and restaurant management, I have a side business and a hobby both named CKC which are Chef Kevin Catering and Chef Kevin Cellars.

My personal interests include hiking, cycling, camping, smoking foods, winemaking, road trips/travel, and remodeling my 98-year-old home.

I place great value in my small immediate family and core group of friends. Some of my favorite quotes are:

“In spite of food fads, fitness programs, and health concerns, we must never lose sight of a beautifully conceived meal.” – Julia Child

“I like a burger on the grill just as much as the next guy” – Peter Michael, CMC, CEC

“One can never learn too much. The more one knows, the more they seek to learn. - Unknown

While there have been many accolades over my 40 years in the culinary arts, I feel these to be my greatest achievements:
