• Hair Braiding

    This course provides students to become licensed hair braiders upon the completion of appropriate hours (300) as required by the state of Illinois. Students will engage in such practices as: braiding, corn rowing, extending, lacing, locking, sewing, twisting, and weaving. Also known as "natural hair care", this class will provide students with hands-0n experience to deal with several hair textures including "chemical-free" and those experiencing various types of hair loss. The work-based learning strategy appropriate for this course is a school-based enterprise. Students must be at least age 16 to participate in this class.
