Great Kindness Challenge - Start Today!

The Great Kindness Challenge is a proactive and positive bullying prevention initiative that improves school climate and increases student engagement. All kids deserve to learn in a safe, supportive and dynamic environment. The Great Kindness Challenge provides a powerful tool that actively engages students, teachers, administration, families and community in creating a school culture of acceptance, tolerance, unity and respect. Simply put, we believe that KINDNESS is strength and has the power to change the world for GOOD! During January, students an staff are encouraged to complete at least 50 acts of kindness - whether towards classmates, teachers, family members, or one's self - and let others know about it so that we can all celebrate being kind to one another

Our first Great Kindness Challenge Celebration was January 2015.

We had an all-student Assembly on Monday, at which 13 Administrators from Central Office came over to give students high-fives as you can see in the picture.  Also Mr. Booth, head basketball coach at Manual Academy and six of his Varsity players came to do an activity with some of the students.

Pictures below show: Then Manual Head Basketball Coach, Derrick Booth, brought some of his basketball players                   and many of our Administrators from next door came over to help us begin our Week of Kindness.
