    Sixth-Grade Learning from Home Activities

    Please put an X through the boxes you choose to complete.  You must complete enough boxes for a minimum of 5 hours of work for every day off of school.  Please add the amount of time you worked and mark it on the top of the page.  This paper needs to be returned along with all of the completed work upon the return to school.  You will receive a grade for every subject, so please complete an activity for every subject area.  Please return to your Block 1 teacher.

    Make a list of 25 compound words that are related to winter. For example: snowflake

     

    Write a letter to a friend describing your perfect day off of school.  Be sure to write this letter using visualization details.  The letter must be a minimum of 5 paragraphs.

    How many ounces of cereal do you have at home? Add up the ounces that is listed on the box.

     

    Look at the food labels of at least 3 items in your home. What do you notice about the percentages?
