    Peoria Public Schools Communications Department is staffed by the director of public relations, a communications specialist and an administrative assistant.

    The Communications staff is responsible for:

    • Parent communications regarding district events and policies, including student registration and boundary waivers
    • Website management
    • Media relations
    • Social media marketing
    • Remarkable Times e-newsletter
    • School board meeting communications
    • School/teacher website training
    • Annual State of the Schools event
    • Parent University and Backpack Peoria promotion
    • Production of district printed calendar, policy handbook and registration literature
    • Severe weather communications
    • Promotion of school events, student and staff achievements and programs
    • Those Who Excel awards
    • Community Contribution, Remarkable Spirit and Student Showcase presentations
