Hi everyone. As all of you have heard by now, we won't be going back to school this year. However, we will be able to continue Remote Learning as we have been for the past few weeks. This week’s assignment will be a check in with me assignment. We will be using this time to reflect and get caught up on any work you have not yet completed or need more help with.
In regards to Remote Learning assignments, please remember you can either email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or contact me via MS Teams. You must show me that you have been working on class assignments required by your teachers. I will be giving grades and taking attendance per the district policy. Complete make up work or study for classes. You can contact me anytime during school hours. It does only have to be on our specific class day and time. Please check in with me often. Check MS Teams for messages from me. I look forward to chatting with you guys and hopefully seeing your faces.
Basically, the work given will be review only. NO NEW MATERIAL will be given, unless I specifically state the assignments is related to NEW MATERIAL. If your child is failing a class and wants to bring up that grade, this is the perfect opportunity. Work completed can only help your grade not hurt your grade. The plan is that I will post an assignment on my web-page (if you do not know how to find my web-page please let me know and I will guide you through it) and on MS TEAMS at the beginning of the week and you will have until Friday to complete it. I will attach a power-point or direct you to a Khan Academy video to explain the information and then a worksheet will be given to complete. By now, I have sent out emails via skyward and have made phone calls to the numbers provided in skyward.
I will be available every day from 7:30 am until 2:45 pm if you have any questions or concerns. I know we are all feeling stressed right now, so please do not allow yourself to become overwhelmed by the work given. I am here for you if you need anything. I am also providing my cell number for those of you that would like to contact me directly. It is 309-265-1341. Below are the instructions to access Microsoft Teams at home.
