    "Our local park district, Peoria Park District, has a lot to offer on any given weekend. With over 20 different park locations there is something for everyone. Take a stroll through the zoo or stop and smell the roses at Luthy Botanical Gardens. The Northmoor Observatory is very interesting! The local Peoria Astronomical Society members are usually present and love to share their knowledge. Many parks also have tennis or baseball fields that you can use. Have an aspiring fisherman at home? There is a fishing derby at Glen Oak Park Lagoon in May. If you are already beginning to plan summer activities for yourself and/or your children take a look through the Peoria Park District Summer Play Book, they have something for all ages.
