Junior Achievement in District 150 Classrooms: Connecting the Social Sciences with the Real World

Junior Achievement inspires kids to achieve their goals and live their dreams. By teaching students in grades K-12 how to think and act like entrepreneurs, Junior Achievement helps drive small business growth and job creation. JAs real-world, experiential programs instill in kids the knowledge and spirit to be successful whether they choose to work for themselves or for an employer. Students learn work-readiness skills that are key to success in todays world--leadership, teamwork, critical thinking, and problem solving--and learn how to apply them.

Junior Achievement collaborates with the education and business communities to help kids make the important connections between what they learn in school and real life after graduation. Junior Achievement programs are delivered primarily in the classroom, by business volunteers. These valuable role models bring to life how successful professionals act and think. With Junior Achievement, students believe I can do this! and feel empowered to succeed.
