Mrs. Jefferson is the secretary in the Office at Washington Gifted. She gets the pleasure of meeting parents and students on a daily basis, while answering phone calls and questions, and ensuring the school day runs smoothly. Mrs Jefferson came to Washington from the Administration Building, so she has met Dr Kherat, Dr Bell, and many others.
Please call 309-672-6563 or email email@example.com with any attendance information within 48 hours if your student will be absent or late. We will also attempt to pass along information to students during the school day by putting the students name on the large board in the foyer. Students should be looking at the board between classes and during the lunch periods, especially if they are expecting something from parents.
When a student is absent from school, it is the parent’s responsibility to notify the school as soon as possible, either by phone call, e-mail, or note. Parents have 48 hours to provide a note to the school in order to change the unexcused to excused. After the 48 hours, the absence will remain unexcused.
Early Release Information-
If you call and request the release of your student, please understand that your student will not be called down to the office until you have arrived to sign them out. We want to keep students in class as much as possible. Thanks for understanding! .
