PPS School-Home Acceleration Partnership Grant

This two-million dollar grant will provide over 46,900 hours of support for kindergarten through eighth grade students and their families. This support will be targeted for identified groups of students to increase their literacy and math skills through individualized support plans and home learning partnerships. The grant provides support for the 2023-2024 school year.

OUT OF DISTRICT APPLICANTS FOR TUTORING

This is for anyone who is not currently employed at Peoria Public Schools.

At this time, we are only considering applicants who have an active Professional Educator License (including retired teachers) or current college students majoring in education.

  1. Apply by clicking on this link. You will need to create a new FastTrack account if you have never applied at PPS before.

  2. To log into the job bank, click on the link below the 'Search Current Job Openings' button.

  3. Under the 'Position' column, select 'hourly'. Click the 'Search for Posted Positions' button on the top right corner of the screen.

  4. Select either the K8 Acceleration Grant PS Tutor or K8 Acceleration Grant MS Tutor position.

  5. Click the 'Apply for Selected Positions' button on the far right of the screen.

  6. Complete the required components of the application. It is not required to attach a cover letter, reference letters, or resume for this position.

  7. Submit your application.

CURRENT DISTRICT EMPLOYEES FOR TUTORING

This includes substitute teachers and other current staff members.

  1. Apply at this Microsoft Forms link. You will be prompted to log in with your district email and password.

  2. Include all of the following information in your application:

    • Name

    • Current School & Role

    • Preferred Grade Level(s) for Tutoring

    • Previous Experience Working with Students

    • Hours & Days Available to Work Each Week

    • Preferred Building Locations for Tutoring

  3. Once the application is submitted, you will be contacted by someone from the central office to follow up about the current open positions.

CURRENT DISTRICT EMPLOYEES FOR DATA SPECIALISTS OR FAMILY LIAISONS

This is for certified staff members currently employed in position at PPS.
