Please click the link above to start the verification and installation process. Enter the district student email address (<6-digit ID>@students.psd150.org) in the textbox on that page to verify access. Once approved, follow the steps to get to the “Install Office on your PC (or Mac)” option, and click "Install now" on your home computer; if you don't get get those instructions, you can still download Office to your home device from your web email account.

You can also start the installation by going directly to https://www.office.com and signing in with the district student email login (<6-digit ID>@students.psd150.org) and password. Click the "Install Office apps" button to install the latest version of Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) on up to 5 home computers (PC or Mac).

Parents/Students - please contact your teacher or principal if you need help finding the student email login information. All student email/Office365 correspondence is monitored using Gaggle's Safety Management feature, 24/7/365, to ensure student safety.

IMPORTANT NOTES - PLEASE READ:

How long can I use this plan?

You can use the plan as long as you are a student at the qualified school. Eligibility may be re-verified at any time. At expiration, the Office applications enter a reduced-functionality mode, which means documents can be viewed but it isn’t possible to edit or create new documents. In addition, online services associated with the school email address, for example Office Online and OneDrive, will no longer work.

Who manages the OneDrive account provided with this offer?

This account is associated with the school and should be used for school-appropriate content. Permissions and access can be changed by the school’s IT administrator at any time.

Who do I contact for technical support on installing Office?

The school district cannot provide technical support for parent/student personal devices. If you are having difficulty installing the software, please contact Microsoft directly at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us; they have free self-guided support options available here.

If you leave the district due to moving or graduation, you are no longer eligible for this service. When your email address is removed from our system, your Office programs will change to view-only option, unless you then purchase an Office365 subscription on your own. You will be prompted for a default location when you activate the software; you will want to choose your computer instead of OneDrive for saving personal documents (if you save personal documents to the district OneDrive account under your email address, those documents are accessible by the district and subject to FOIA/legal searches, plus you will lose access to those files if you leave the district).

Along with this, you can now also use your district email login and password to activate all features of Word, Excel and PowerPoint for iPhone/iPad and Android devices, available via the App Store/Google Play Store. The same notes apply – you will want to save personal documents on your mobile device directly instead of in OneDrive, and if your email address is deactivated, these programs will revert back to view-only mode unless you purchase an Office365 home subscription.
