On Tuesday, November 8, Peoria county voters will consider whether to support The Peoria County School Facilities Sales Tax. If approved by voters, the ½% sales tax would generate $9 million annually to be shared among all Peoria County public school districts, based on enrollment. The Peoria Public Schools would receive approximately $4.2 million annually. The revenue is to be used specifically for school building improvements. The Peoria Public Schools building and grounds staff has assessed the needs of each building in the District. Here is the plan for Richwoods High School.
Three Richwoods High School students, Joshua Boyle, Gustav Jennetten and Julianna Rees, have been named Semifinalists in the 2017 National Merit Scholarship Program. They are among the 16,000 students nationally who have the opportunity to qualify as finalists in the National Merit scholarship awards. In addition, Elizabeth Lindqwister, Landen Sale and Lori Workman have been named Commended Students in the 2017 National Merit Scholarship program. Commended students placed among the top five percent of more than 1.6 million students who entered the competition by taking the PSAT/NMSQT in 2015.
Congrats Ron Dwyer
