  • District seeks feedback on proposed school day schedule change

    Peoria Public Schools is proposing the following starting/dismissal times as a way to align school starting times with research that indicates older students fare better with later start times -- and also to balance the transportation budget without minimizing services to students and families.

  • Leah Womer Places 2nd at Future Chef Challenge!

    Congratulations to 5th grade student, Leah Womer, for her 2nd place finish at the Future Chefs Challenge. Her recipe, Apple Oatmeal Raisin Cookies, was a healthy and delicious success! We are proud of our Future Chef, Leah Womer!

  • Growth Mindset Activities During SIP Day Morning Activities

    This past SIP day, students at Rolling Acres participated in a rotating schedule of three different activities promoting Growth Mindset and Social Emotional Learning. In the two sessions geared towards Growth Mindset, students were engaged in activities sharing the importance of having a Growth Mindset and how perseverance will lead to success. In their third session, students participated in a variety of team building activities, working towards common goals through cooperation and collaboration. After a morning of community-building and shared learning opportunities, the students participated in an all-school assembly recognizing various student achievements at Rolling Acres. It was a wonderful morning spent building community and celebrating the accomplishments of students at Rolling Acres, where it is always a GREAT day to be a Cougar!
